We all are aware of the tiring and backbreaking journey to the Airport from East and West Delhi, but there is now an end to tiredness, The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is constructing a skywalk that will make the trips to the Airport less tiring.  The Skywalk will be 800 meters long and will be connecting Dhaula Kuan of the Airport Express Line to Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus Metro Station on the pink line. The Skywalk is supposed to have 22 travellators that will make the journey from IGI Airport to West and East Delhi with all the bags and baggage much easier!  Twelve of these travellators will move up a slight incline and the rest down to reduce the distance between the two stations, which is around 2 km by road with heavy traffic, to a relaxed transit Skywalk will be covered with a curved roof and a glass railing and of course the travellators to spare you the trouble of walking with the luggage. The Connectivity to the Airport line will make lives to commuters easier because at present day the only connectivity to the Airport line is at New Delhi Metro Station on Yellow line which connects Huda City Centre to Samaypur Badli.
Arjun Dayal, the spokesperson of Delhi Metro said: “The Idea is to provide better connectivity for the commuters”. This surely will make our lives easy, Cheers to DMRC.
