Situated in the northern part of the country, Uttar Pradesh is known for its highest contribution in the field of education in India. UP Board has been crowned as Asia’s largest board in terms of the number of students appearing for examination every year. The headquarters are in Prayagraj, also known as Allahabad. The aim of the board and the government is to provide quality education to the students and their effort has risen the literacy rate in the state. According to recent research on UP board 10th result, it says that 80.07% of students have cleared the examination this year.
UP Board operation:
The examinations conducted by the board are called High School exams for 10th and Intermediate exams for 12th. All over the state, both the exams are conducted annually. Every year, the board prepares the students according to the syllabus and conducts examination for almost 32,00,000 students. There has been a drastic change in the performance of the UP Board 10th Results. The state has close to 1,23,540 schools which consist of preschool, elementary school, higher secondary, and senior secondary. The commonly followed medium of teaching is Hindi apart from schools affiliated to ICSE and CBSE follow English. The UP board has a panel of members who specifically work on conducting examinations over the state.
UP Board’s performance
In the year 2019, research says that nearly 20 lakh students have enrolled for the high school board examination in UP. Considering the size of UP, there are many good schools and colleges which provide higher education in various fields. Most of these schools in UP, institutions in UP are run by the state government, central government and the others are operated by private organizations. The next exam will be conducted in February 2020.
Free educational materials for students supplied by the government:
The government is trying its best by bringing up new schemes which are really helpful for the students. Financial aid is provided to the students who belong from not so strong financial backgrounds, by constantly bringing changes in the teaching style and building infrastructure so that more and more students can enroll themselves. Free educational materials like books and stationary are supplied annually to the students who belong from poor financial background.
New Schemes launched by the state government:
Apart from all these facilities the government also provides help to students from ST/SC/OBC category. The state launched many new plans for the student who drops out of school. Extra classes are provided for students who need help and cannot afford expensive tuition classes. This makes sure that the student gets special care and decreases the number of school drop out over the state every year.
Well trained teachers are recruited in the school for better teaching which also helps in boosting the student’s academic performance. The state government has also made it compulsory for all the students to attend schools till higher secondary. Free fees are also provided in some schools.
By concluding this article, in my opinion, I do feel that there has been a drastic change in the education system in UP. The rapidly increasing number of students enrolling for the high school and intermediate examination and decreasing number of school dropouts are proof that the students are enjoying the education provided in schools and are determined to make a better career.
